We're looking for a L&D Delivery Manager, that reporting to the L&D Lead, and being part of the Leadership, Talent Development & Culture function, will play a critical role in the development and delivery of impactful L&D solutions to colleagues across Italy stores and the regional office.
- This role will have responsibility for leading a team of learning professionals to deliver and continually elevate an ambitious learning agenda.
- Working in close partnership with P&C and management teams in market, the role will be accountable for ensuring colleagues at all levels have access to high-quality learning and development experiences to support their in-role performance, development, and future growth.
Job Description
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Manage a team of learning professionals and create a supportive and inclusive team environment.
- Drive and promote a culture of continuous professional development across the market.
- Partner with country P&C leader and P&C business partners to understand business
requirements
and opportunities - feeding insights into central CoE teams.
- Develop and drive a progressive learning strategy for colleagues in that market (retail and regional office where applicable) – balancing global priorities with local requirements.
- Participate as a member of the country P&C team to provide a coordinated approach to P&C activities within the market.
- Lead the roll-out of impactful learning solutions, including workshops, webinars, masterclasses, events, and full blended programmes.
- Deliver impactful sessions for senior leadership groups and teams in that market.
- Where appropriate, develop solutions to learning and performance needs and/or source solutions using external providers.
- Lead an annual market learning calendar, as part of an overall market P&C plan, ensuring it's progressive and up to date.
- Manage an in-market L&D budget and support a cost-conscious approach to generating value from L&D initiatives.
- Establish clear measures of progress and evaluation for all L&D initiatives.
- Lead the marketing and management of Primark's learning management system for colleagues across that market.
- Keep up to date with the business developments, changes, and in-market priorities to drive informed decisions around L&D priorities.
Qualifications
Skills and experience:
- Significant experience (5+ years) in L&D roles, with at least 3+ years in a people management role.
- Fluent English.
- Strong understanding of corporate and retail learning principles and best practices.
- Experience with a variety of training delivery methods, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid learning.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong people partner who can influence and collaborate effectively across multiple levels of leadership.
- Able to manage timely delivery of strategic initiatives in a challenging environment, and able to deal with rapid change, complexity and ambiguity.
- Passion for people development.
