Job Description
The candidate leads the strategic vision, roadmap, performance of our Sensor product lines within the eIL Innovation leadership team. This role is responsible for driving the overall sensor product strategy, cross-functional execution efforts, and ensuring the product line meets financial and operational objectives.
The role
plays a critical role in shaping the company's overall sensor portfolio and delivering differentiated solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Central to this leadership role is the full ownership of the function, championing a modernized PLM approach, and maintaining a market-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic roadmap & portfolio management:
- Define and execute the multi-year global vision for the sensor product line, integrating RFID (HF/UHF/RAIN) and BLE, wireless sensing, and inlay/ label technologies with eIL growth objectives
- Champion a modernized and agile PLM approach to ensure rapid response to market shifts and technological advancements.
- Oversee the product roadmap and portfolio management, ensuring the right mix of products to address market demands and opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for new product development, line extensions, or strategic acquisitions.
P&L & market growth:
- Manage the financial performance of the sensor product line, including revenue and profitability.
- Identify high-margin market gaps, set competitive pricing models,
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the sensor product lines and market strategic decisions to optimize the portfolio.
- Support the high level SC planning
Ecosystem & partnership strategy:
- Cultivate strategic relationships across IC design partners, and industry standards bodies (e.g. GS1, RAIN Alliance).
Cross-functional execution:
- Collaborate with and guide the technical development, marketing, technical sales teams and external partners to drive products through stage-gate development to commercial deployment, ensuring seamless integration and execution across the product lifecycle.
- Team leadership & development:
- Scale, mentor, and retain a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of urgency, accountability, and customer-centric innovation.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within eIL innovation management team.
Executive advisory:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader, providing guidance and insights to the executive leadership, cross-functional stakeholders and enterprise customers..
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
- 10+ years of leadership in electronics product management, with proven success managing multi-million dollar P&Ls and global strategies within complex matrix organizations.
- Deep technical expertise in RFID (RAIN, NFC, UHF, BLE), ambient IoT, IC design workflows, sensor packaging and enterprise IoT platforms.
- Entrepreneurial, market-driven mindset with a sharp focus on market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and customer-centric product strategy.
- Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies and data-driven decision-making to drive rapid execution and simplified workflows.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage executive stakeholders.
- Assertive, persistent, and highly self-disciplined, with a sense of urgency required to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% domestically and internationally.
